This recipe is perfect for the one who likes to enjoy a sweet dessert or calming evening drink, but at the same time wants to stay away from refined sugar and dairy. When I was making some turmeric milk before going to sleep, I discovered by accident that the drink looks exactly like the Crème Brûlée deserts I used to love when I was a kid. As the taste is so calming and sweet, I really had to share this recipe with you! You solely need four simple ingredients and it takes only ten minutes of your time! It is really the best and it totally calms me down after having a hectic day in Copenhagen.
The ingredients (serves 1)
– A cup of unsweetened rice milk
– Half a teaspoon of kurkuma
– Half a teaspoon of cinnamon
– A teaspoon of coconut oil
It is super easy.
Simply pour all ingredients into a small cooking pot on a medium heat. Stir the milk to combine ingredients. Reduce heat to low and simmer for up to 10 minutes.
When you notice that the coconut oil together with the cinnamon formed a Crème Brûlée-like layer on top of the milk, it is ready to be poured into a cup. You can add some honey if you like your milk a little sweeter!
